Jack Horstmeyer, Senior Advisor
Jack Horstmeyer is a media and marketing expert with over 25 years of experience in direct marketing, communications and Internet product development at major media companies including Time, Inc., Bertelsmann, A.G. and The Times Mirror Co. Mr. Horstmeyer’s expertise encompasses the creative, strategic and operational aspects of product and brand marketing. As Sr. Vice President, Product Development and Brand Strategy, at Barnes & Noble.com, Mr. Horstmeyer oversaw the merchandising initiatives, content features and transactional functionalities of the Barnes & Noble e-commerce site. During his tenure, revenues grew from $100 million to $450 million through website re-design initiatives and the implementation of sophisticated site architecture and search capabilities. Mr. Horstmeyer also served as Executive Director, Creative & Production
Services Worldwide at Modem Media, the world’s largest interactive
communications agency. At Modem, he led Internet product development
efforts for a diverse portfolio of Fortune 500 companies and managed
interactive communications for clients such as Compaq, Citibank,
Intel, AT&T, John Hancock Insurance, Excite, and Delta Air-Lines.
He was previously in charge of business development at Times Mirror
Magazines, where he directed the Internet and multi-media strategy
for their men’s special interest magazines.
Currently Managing Partner of Terra Nova Marketing Solutions,
a marketing and product development consulting firm, Mr. Horstmeyer
specializes in eCommerce strategy, planning and execution; brand
marketing in all channels; strategic communications; marketing
management, product development and customer networking.
Mr. Horstmeyer graduated from Lehigh University with B.A. in English
and International Relations. |
Harry Chevan, Senior Advisor
Harry Chevan manages deal execution teams, advises clients on industry trends and strategic opportunities, and works on valuation and capital raising assignments.
Mr. Chevan has initiated such transactions as the sale of National Business Furniture to K+K America, a subsidiary of TAKKT AG, the sale of the REPP Big + Tall retail and catalog businesses to Casual Male and the sale of Concentrix Corp to Synnex Corp. He also manages the firm’s private placement efforts, including most recently the $7 million equity raise by The Guild, Inc. from San Francisco Equity Partners and Dolphin Equity.
With more than 15 years of experience in the direct marketing, financial services and information services industries, Mr. Chevan previously served as Managing Editor of Catalog Age (now MultiChannel Merchant), a publication dedicated exclusively to the $88 billion catalog industry. Earlier in his career, he was the business editor for The Connecticut Post. He began his career as a Nuclear Engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Mr. Chevan received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University.
