Bill Santo joined GLC as Managing Director of Enabling Technologies. His concentration at GLC focuses on the intersection of technology with the other core areas, including retail & e-commerce, digital media & entertainment and marketing & business services.

Prior to joining GLC, Bill was a Managing Director and CIO at Madison Williams and Company. Bill has decades of experience in software and technology including acting as CEO of Firepond. He had co-founded numerous start-ups in the software industry including Magnetic Alliance, the web acceleration firm, wwWhoosh, Inc. and InfoCellular.

Bill holds a B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts and a J.D. degree from the New England School of Law.

Some things people may not know about Bill:

• Drove a cab in Boston for 7 years, got robbed twice at gunpoint where he was first introduced to the value of good negotiating skills
• As a public defender tried over 100 criminal cases where he discovered that none of the people in real courtrooms are anywhere near as good looking as the actors and actresses who portray them on television
• Has broken his nose 5 times, usually by jumping into the fray before carefully considering all the potential consequences
