Managing Director

Marino Marin joined Gruppo, Levey & Co. in 2007 as a Managing Director from Lane Berry & Co., where he was a Managing Director and Partner focused on the industrial, consumer and luxury good sectors. Mr. Marin has over 16 years of experience in investment banking, advising corporate clients and private equity firms in M&A and capital market transactions in the US and internationally.

Previously, Mr. Marin was responsible for establishing the M&A department of Unicredit Banca Mobiliare S.p.A (UBM), the investment banking division of UniCredit, the largest bank in the Eurozone. Based in Milan, Italy, Mr. Marin helped make UBM into one of the fastest growing investment banking franchises in Europe, serving as an adviser on more than 45 transactions with an aggregate transaction value of over $60 billion including transactions involving Telecom Italia and the FIAT Group, as well as numerous transactions in the consumer products sector.

Prior to UBM, Mr. Marin spent nine years as an M&A banker with Lehman Brothers, Rothschild and UBS Warburg in New York. He began his career in Milan at Mediobanca, where he was part of the Servizio Finanzario and served as a statutory auditor for Mediobanca’s SADE Finanziaria.

Mr. Marin earned his laureate degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and his post-graduate degree in Business Administration from ESADE University in Barcelona, Spain. He is a Chartered Accountant and fluent in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French.
